The Digital Analytics Association (DAA), formerly the Web Analytics Association (WAA), is conducting an industry job task survey to identify the important competencies required of today’s web analysts around the world. Results of the survey will be used by DAA to further expand member benefits, such as its certification and educational programs.

Because of the importance of this survey to understanding the scope of a web analyst’s job, individuals who complete the survey by Friday, May 25th will receive a complimentary copy of the results and can enter into a drawing to win one of two American Express $50.00 gift cards. In addition, because of the importance of this survey to the continued evolution of the DAA certification, DAA Certified Web Analysts will receive 5 PDUs that can be used to meet certification maintenance requirements.

We estimate that it will take approximately 20 minutes to complete the survey. In order to provide DAA with the most relevant data, individuals must meet one of the following eligibility requirements to participate in the survey:

• Option 1: High-school diploma (or global equivalent) and five years of online business experience, with at least three of those years focused on web analytics experience.
• Option 2: Four year degree (bachelor’s or global equivalent) and three years of web analytics experience.

We need extensive participation, so please share this information with others who you believe meet the above criteria. DAA membership is not required to participate in the survey.
