DAA Offers Self-Assessment Resource for Digital Analytics Professionals
Professional Development Tool Is Unique in the Industry

WAKEFIELD, Mass. – Sept. 16, 2015-- TheDigital Analytics Association(DAA) announced today the launch of the Digital Analyst Self-Assessment, an exclusive online professional development resource based on the Digital Analyst Competency Framework, the industry's first reference compendium of professional skills and performance levels.

The assessment is easy to use, confidential, and available at no charge, only to members of the DAA. The assessment's uniqueness derives from its unique source, the Framework, which provides it with unmatched credibility.

The Digital Analyst Competency Framework establishes a common standard of performance for digital analysts at three different levels and in two separate tracks, providing organizations and individuals with valuable insight into the skills needed in a range of circumstances. The new assessment resource enables professionals to benchmark their skills against the key defined competencies of successful digital analysts, to see how they measure up, both in their current roles and for jobs to which they aspire. The assessment offers the opportunity to compare results with a group of peers in the same job role, industry, location, etc.

The results will also indicate which competencies an individual should focus on and the recommended educational resources available to address specific areas, providing a clear path to analysts' professional goals. Using the self-assessment can help professionals document their strengths to management when discussing performance, career goals, and development needs.

"The DAA self-assessment tool is tremendously helpful to me for an understanding of the core competencies that I need to work on, as well as the extensive resources that are compiled to help with my learning process," said Julie K. Hanson of 3M. "The DAA team did a great job putting this tool together and I’m certain other members will find it valuable as well."

"The Digital Analyst Self-Assessment is a much-needed professional development resource for digital professionals, especially those in the early stages of their careers," said Jacki Conn, DAA Professional Development Manager. "People can now see how their skills stack up against those of their peers, and what it will take to move to the next level. We are very proud of this complement to our Framework, and we encourage all our members to take advantage of this important benefit."

The self-assessment is the first of several professional development resources underway based on the Competency Framework, the results of many months of intensive work by a dedicated group of subject matter experts from both inside and outside the DAA. Anyone who is interested in utilizing the Digital Analyst Competency Framework and the Digital Analyst Self-Assessment is invited to join the DAAand reap the benefits of participating in a unique, energetic industry community.
