UBC/DAA Award of Achievement in Digital Analytics

UBC continuing studies web analytics award of achievement

The award winning UBC/DAA Award of Achievement in Digital Analytics (formerly the Award of Achievement in Web Analytics) is offered through the University of British Columbia. The first web analytics educational program of its kind, the UBC/DAA Award of Achievement in Digital Analytics is delivered comprehensively in four 100% online courses:

  1. Introduction to Web Analytics

  2. Web Analytics for Site Optimization

  3. Measuring Marketing Campaigns Online

  4. Creating and Managing the Analytical Business Culture

Experience with a web analytics reporting tool is recommended before taking the courses, as the curriculum does not address the "hands on" elements of working with a specific tool.
Course fees are paid on a course-by-course basis at $710 CAD each ($640 CAD for DAA members). The total program fee is $2,840 CAD.
Intensive Programs (currently in English and German) are offered twice yearly and priced at $2,500 CAD for all four courses ($2,400 CAD for DAA members).

What do the students think?

"The UBC/DAA program was very rewarding…up to that point I had only practical experience in the field of analytics and participating in the program was a valuable opportunity for me to be guided through key analytics principles and content in a structured learning environment .The Award of Achievement in Digital Analytics had been on my radar for a while - it has a great reputation in the marketplace, it was my first choice when considering the digital analytics courses available."
-Lisa Womersley, Digital Frontier Partners

“I’d been trying for the past six months to find information similar to that available in our online class, and to little avail. It's been amazing to have such a comprehensive set of information and know that it's from the best folks.”
- Shaina Boone, Critical Mass

“I wanted to reach out to thank the DAA leadership, particularly those that shaped the education program with the UBC and the certification program, for helping me change my career-- and frankly—my life. In 2009 I was working as a web analyst at a leading internet company, where I had been for almost 10 years…However, I had no idea how – or the confidence – to take the skills I had out on the market.
Thanks to the DAA/UBC courses, as well as attending an eMetrics conference, I gained confidence that the experience I had was transferable... I signed up to 'test the test' for the DAA certification at eMetrics, took it cold, and was pleased to learn that I had scored quite well. Late last spring, I decided to branch out on my own as a freelancer and I haven't looked back yet…in my first six months in business I completely replaced my former salary. I never would have had the confidence to do this without the structure you established through the DAA.”
- Elizabeth Brady,  EWBAnalytics
