Jeff Jonas

Jeff Jonas is an IBM Fellow and Chief Scientist of the IBM Entity Analytics Group. The IBM Entity Analytics Group was formed based on technologies developed by Systems Research & Development (SRD), founded by Jonas in 1984, and acquired by IBM in January, 2005.

Jonas’ work has received wide media attention from the Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, to Fortune Magazine, MSNBC and National Public Radio. A highly sought after speaker, Jonas travels the globe discussing innovation, national security, and privacy with government leaders, industry executives, leading global think tanks, privacy advocacy groups, and policy research organizations.

He is a Member of the Markle Foundation Task Force on National Security in the Information Age, a Board Member of the US Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF), on the EPIC Advisory Board, on the Privacy International Advisory Board, a Senior Associate at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), and a Distinguished Engineer of Information Systems (adjunct) at Singapore Management University. Jonas periodically testifies on privacy and counterterrorism in such venues as the Department of Homeland Security’s Data Privacy and Integrity Advisory Committee, and other federally convened commissions.

Jonas was briefly a quadriplegic in 1988 following a car accident. Today, he competes in Ironman triathlons around the world. He has three wonderful children he raised as a single father.

Tom Davenport

Tom Davenport is the President’s Distinguished Professor of Information Technology and Management at Babson College, cofounder of the International Institute for Analytics, Fellow at the MIT Initiative on the Digital Economy, and Senior Advisor to Deloitte Analytics. He teaches analytics/big data in executive programs at Babson, Harvard Business School and School of Public Health, and MIT Sloan School.

Tom pioneered the concept of “competing on analytics” with his best-selling 2006 Harvard Business Review article and 2007 book. His most recent book is Only Humans Need Apply: Winners and Losers in the Age of Smart Machines. He wrote or edited seventeen other books and over 100 articles for Harvard Business Review, Sloan Management Review, The Financial Times, and many other publications. He is a regular contributor to the Wall Street Journal. He has been named one of the top 25 consultants by Consulting News, one of the 100 most influential people in the IT industry by Ziff-Davis, and one of the world’s top fifty business school professors by Fortune magazine.


Jacques Warren

Pat LaPointe

Pat LaPointe, CEO, Growth Calculus

Pat is an angel/venture investor and a leading consultant who has worked with C-level leaders at more than 200 of the Fortune 500 companies in 15 major industry sectors. His specialty is uncovering marketing- and sales-driven growth strategies using analytics, research, simulation, and advanced business case planning.

After 10 years in the agency business at Y&R and Ketchum, he directed a large sales and marketing operation for Bell Atlantic. He made his first entrepreneurial foray with Frequency Marketing in 1996 (sold to Alliance Data Systems in 2002), and then founded MarketingNPV where he pioneered and popularized many of the foundational frameworks used to measure marketing ROI today.  He sold MarketingNPV to MarketShare and became head of the Americas region and Chairman of the Advisory Board, directing analytical implementation and organizational adoption for over 60 leading brands.

Brent Dykes

With more than 15 years of enterprise analytics and digital marketing experience, Brent Dykes has brought a wealth of knowledge and practical skills to some of the biggest brands in the world including Microsoft, Sony, Dell, Comcast, and Nike, among many others. As Adobe’s Analytics Evangelist, Dykes is responsible for guiding and evangelizing the vision of Adobe’s analytics solutions. Previously, Dykes spent eight years in Adobe consulting where he provided leadership, analysis, and measurement strategy to major brands and helped them to establish effective, enterprise-level analytics practices.

Dykes is also an accomplished industry voice and author. His first book Web Analytics Action Hero (published in 2011) outlines how to become a successful analyst who drives action from digital data. He recently wrote a follow-on e-book, Web Analytics Kick Start Guide: A Primer on the Fundamentals of Digital Analytics in 2014. Dykes has become an effective industry speaker sharing well-received information at events including, Adtech, Pubcon and Adobe Summits in the US and Europe. Dykes also directs the annual Adobe Analytics Challenge, which has exposed thousands of students to the power of enterprise-level analytics over the past 10 years.

Ronny Kohavi the General Manager for Microsoft's Analysis and Experimentation team in the Information Platform Group. He was previously Partner Architect in the Online Services Division at Microsoft (Bing). He joined Microsoft in 2005 and founded the Experimentation Platform team in 2006. He was previously the director of data mining and personalization at, and the Vice President of Business Intelligence at Blue Martini Software, which went public in 2000, and later acquired by Red Prairie. Pelin Thorogood, CEO, Anametrix

Thorogood is a CMO turned CEO at Anametrix, a company of Ensighten. Anametrix is a cloud-based analytics platform. Pelin's career has been marked by the melding of innovation, strategy and leadership in marketing and analytics, serving as CMO of WebSideStory (acquired by Omniture/Adobe), expanding an enterprise software business into web-based applications, and launching one of the first B2B mobile applications. Her successes in these areas and eventual role as CEO demonstrate the shifting focus on digital analytics and innovation to business success.
