Mike Merrill is currently a Strategic Retail Enterprise Account Executive and Digital Strategist at Salesforce. He has leveraged his more than 18 years of sales and marketing experience to become a business leader, community builder, speaker and author focused on social media and online marketing. Recognized by Fortune as a self-made social media master, Mike’s marketing expertise makes him much in demand as a speaker at industry conferences such as TED, SXSW, Explore, Digital Dealer and as an expert on Dallas television news programs. Mike’s passion for social media and word-of-mouth community building led him to launch the Social Media Club of Dallas in September of 2009 and helped launch Ignite DFW, part of TED.
Prior to Salesforce, Mike served as Director of Marketing for ReachLocal where he staffed and built out the social media, content, and industry marketing team in place today and as a consultant helped build out numerous content marketing and social media strategies for clients. He has held sales roles at NetApp and Dell, ran marketing for Higher Education at Dell and worked at two venture-backed startups in product marketing and management. Mike serves on the board of the DFW Retail Executive Association as head of membership. He pursued his MBA at the Ross Business School at the University of Michigan and holds undergraduate degrees in Finance and Accounting from New Mexico State University.
Dave Gatdula is currently Manager of Marketing Analytics for Beyondsoft Consulting, Inc., working on assignment at Toyota Motors North America in Plano. Having Digital Marketing & Analytical experience from small-scale businesses to enterprise-level Fortune 10 companies, Dave has provided extensive support through analytical insights and optimization for many different industries during his 7+ years in in the Digital Analytics space. Mentoring his analysts and sharing his knowledge of the industry and tools with peers and eager ears is a passion always being pursued. Adobe, Microsoft, and Digital Analytics Association Certified, Dave is constantly learning and improving his craft. You can find him on LinkedIn and on his website.
Carl Brandvold has 5 years’ experience within the staffing industry and is currently a Sr. Account Manager for Horizontal Integration. Prior to staffing, he spent 10 years within the advertising industry kicking off his career as a graphic designer and later making the jump to Account Executive before. Carl has supported the staffing needs for organizations of all sizes from large global companies to small local firms. He has met with many hiring managers, HR leaders, business owners, etc. to understand the types of candidates they’re looking for, the skill sets they value and the details on what would make a candidate stand out.
