GDPR, eh?  Why You Need to Pay Attention to Europe’s GDPR Legislation

With the deluge of “new terms of service” emails from suppliers, many Canadian organizations are just now starting to pay attention to Europe’s GDPR legislation, if only to figure out how to respond to these emails.

GDPR comes into effect on May 25, 2018.

What marketers and digital analysts don’t realize is that you don’t have to be selling in the EU to be subject to GDPR.  If your digital analytics tool (GA, Adobe or other) shows you have traffic from EU countries, you will have new obligations as of May 25.

Why pay attention?  Not only might your organization be caught unawares by a request from a “data subject” but fines for non-compliance can be as high as 4% of annual global revenue.  Can the EU enforce GDPR on Canadian firms?  Apparently yes.

Join us for a presentation followed by a panel discussion and Q&A with you the audience.  Our participants this evening have been actively preparing their organizations for GDPR:
