Analyst - Freelance, Spike/TV Land/CMT Multi-Platform Research
The Spike/TV Land/CMT Multi-Platform Research team has an opportunity within the Viacom Global Entertainment Group for an Analyst, Freelance. We are seeking a bright, enthusiastic individual for this role that supports the linear and digital/social presence of Spike/TV Land/CMT. The role requires superior attention to detail and an analytical curiosity.
This individual will be responsible for extracting and analyzing data from various sources to provide consistent and actionable insights into the consumption of Spike/TV Land/CMT content across tv, the website, apps, and social platforms.  In addition, this position is responsible for competitive intelligence, contributing to in-depth analysis of consumption, supporting management in the development of presentations and case studies, and fielding ad hoc queries from internal clients as needed. This role also works closely with marketing, programming and production to tell cross-platform stories.  Reporting to the Senior Director of Multi-Platform Research, this individual will be a true partner to its internal stakeholders.

Requirements Specific skills and requirements include:
  • 1-2 years of related linear and/or digital research experience
  • Experience with internal digital tracking solutions and Social Media tools (Omniture SiteCatalyst, Report Builder, Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, Twitter, Youtube, Sysomos, Qualtrics, etc.)
  • Understanding of syndicated sources: (comScore Media Metrix, Nielsen, Forrester, eMarketer, etc).
  • Work independently, and with direction from the Sr. Director, on weekly/monthly/quarterly audience reports for various corporate management stakeholders
  • Self-starter and highly proactive.
  • Ability to manage expectations, inform, and provide insights and recommendations to a larger internal team.
  • Ability to spearhead a project and thoroughly manage it through to completion.
  • Bachelor degree or higher
