West Coast Marketers’ Successes to be featured at the Web Analytics Association Symposium
Wednesday, December 21, 2011
Wakefield, MA—December 20, 2011— Web Analytics Association(WAA) will host a symposium in Santa Monica, CA, on January 18, 2012. The theme of the event is "Catch the Wave: Analytical Success Stories from West Coast Marketers," and the half-day seminar will recap what worked, and what didn’t work, during the 2011 holiday shopping season. The symposium will also give insight into where the analytics wave will take us in 2012. The latest WAA symposium will take place at the Sheraton Delfina.
Attendees will learn how companies can address the challenges surrounding the variety of technologies, multiple data streams, and the integration of offline data. Attendees will also benefit from interaction with world class speakers, whom they would not normally be able to hear in person, in a way that is more convenient, less expensive, and means less time away from the office.
"We expect the LA symposium to inspire the next wave in analytics," said Peter Sanborn, president of the WAA. "With around 300 people expected to attend this local learning, networking and recruiting opportunity, it will be the first web analytics idea-sharing event of 2012 and will prove truly insightful for the future of the industry.”
This will be the first WAA Symposium in the LA area; previous events have taken place in Philadelphia, Boston, Austin, and Seattle this year. WAA Symposiums bring digital analytics, web analytics, marketing and business professionals together for a day of learning, professional development and networking.
Jim Sterne, WAA Chairman of the Board, has been named one of the 50 most influential people in digital marketing by Revolution and identified as one of the top 25 Hot Speakers by the National Speakers Association. Sterne will deliver one of the symposium's keynote presentations. In the session, "Measuring Social Media Success,” John Lovett, WAA Vice President, will help the audience learn how to identify when investments in social media marketing really benefit businesses and quantify the successes with social analytics. Other speakers currently include:
- Autumn Christiano, Director of Analytics, Toyota
- Shawn Hushman, VP of Analytic Insights, Kelley Blue Book
- Dylan Lewis, Group Manager of Web Measurement, Intuit
- Kristin Toomey, Director of Online Reporting & Analytics, Petco
The event will be made possible thanks to contributions from Adobe, ClearSaleing, Ensighten, and Keystone Solutions. Additional support will be provided by ObservePoint and Webtrends. A limited number of additional sponsorship opportunities are still available. Interested parties may visit the website indicated below for further details.
