Digital Analytics Association Announces 2012 – 2013 Board of Directors

Wakefield, MA — June 25, 2012 — The Digital Analytics Association (DAA), formerly known as the Web Analytics Association (WAA), today announced its 2012 - 2013 Board of Directors as a result of an election among members held in June. This year there were a total of five seats available and as a result three notable digital marketing experts, Terry Cohen, Peter Fader and Eric Feinberg, joined the board as new members while two current members, John Lovett and Jim Sterne, were re-elected.

The newly elected board members, who will each serve a two-year term include:

  • Terry Cohen, SVP, Strategy and Analytics, Digitas
  • Peter Fader, Professor of Marketing, The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania
  • Eric Feinberg, Senior Director, Mobile, Media and Entertainment, ForeSee
  • John Lovett, Senior Partner, Web Analytics Demystified (Re-elected)
  • Jim Sterne, Founder, eMetrics Marketing Optimization Summit and DAA (Re-elected)

"The DAA board congratulates the new and returning board members on their selection by their peers. One of the reasons they were selected was for their ability to provide strategic direction relative to the expansion of the association into the full digital analytics industry," said Peter Sanborn, president of the DAA. "The addition of these three new board members brings valuable expertise and resources to the association's leadership that will be instrumental in moving the DAA forward, and we are excited to explore what their unique talents will bring to the association. The board is also pleased that the new nomination and election process, put in place in 2011, has again been overwhelmingly accepted by the members."

Terry Cohen, as Digitas' practice lead for digital media analytics, provides guidance to clients on marketing campaign measurement and optimization, digital media investment allocation and forecasting, web site analytics and optimization, CRM and loyalty strategic planning. Peter Fader's expertise centers on the analysis of behavioral data to understand and forecast customer shopping and purchasing activities, and he works with firms from a wide range of industries. Eric Feinberg, who has served in several leadership positions within the DAA, provides leadership to ForeSee's mobile solutions, as well as solutions related to the media and entertainment industries. Feinberg is responsible for working with product, delivery, sales and marketing teams to ensure that ForeSee continues to bring innovation and operational excellence to its mobile offerings.

Returning board members, who were not up for election this year, but who will continue to serve on the DAA Board of Directors include:

  • Jodi McDermott, VP Product Management and North American Consulting, Digital Analytix, comScore, Inc.
  • Joe Megibow, VP and General Manager, Expedia.com
  • Bob Page, VP Analytics Platform and Delivery, eBay
  • Peter Sanborn, Web Analytics Director, Microsoft Windows
  • Ed Wu, Marketing Director, Dell
  • Alex Yoder, President and CEO, Webtrends
