General Questions About Submitting a Nomination

How do I enter?

There are 2 unique classes of awards, Competition which require finalists to participate in a competition that will determine the winners and Judged which are determined by a panel of judges.

Competition Awards:
  • Best New Technology, Company
  • Top Practitioner, Individual
  • Top Analytics Team, Group
  • Top Consultant, Individual 

Judged Awards:
  • Top New Practitioner, Individual
  • Difference Maker, Individual
  • Top Agency, Large (revenues above $50MM)
  • Top Agency, Small (revenues below $50MM)

Start a Nomination

​Nominations are only accepted online. You may start and work on as many nominations as you wish until the nomination ending period of May 10. By May 10 you must have submitted any works in progress or they will not be considered.

Nominations are created and submitted through our new Quanties platform.  You must have a DAA member account or create a non-member account to submit a nomination. If you have any issues with your current account or creating an account contact the membership team for assistance.

Remember, nominations are only accepted online. Please keep in mind that brevity and succinctness will make for a more compelling nomination - and likely get you more votes!

You may wish to use video, audio, slide presentations, documents, spreadsheets to support your nomination. Links to all supporting materials must be collected at one URL (e.g., Dropbox, Drive).

  • Pay the Nomination Fee (if applicable)
    It is free for DAA Members to submit as many nominations as they wish. The cost for Non-Members to submit a nomination is $300 per nomination. Non-members must pay prior to the nomination being reviewed and accepted.
  • Review and Acceptance of Nomination
    The DAA Quanties Nomination Review Team will review all nominations to ensure that each nomination is complete and meets the eligibility criteria of the category.

    Once the Nomination Review Team validates that a nomination is complete, the nominator will receive a notification.

How much time does it take to submit an entry?

How much time does it take to submit an entry? We estimate it will take 10 minutes to submit the entry online, although you will need to have your information gathered and prepared.

Who can submit an entry?

Anyone! There are no restrictions on who may submit an entry. Members of the DAA may submit nominations for free. Non-members of the DAA pay $300 per submission.

What is the format for the “live competition”?

During the Quanties party, we will hold a live competition among the finalists for “competition” awards to determine the award recipient. The competition will consist of a live demonstration, followed by live voting by the in-person and virtual audience.

Each presenter will be given 2 minutes to present their case for winning the award they are a finalist for. Up to two microphones will be provided for each presentation. Each presenter will be given 2 minutes to give their presentation/demonstration and 30 seconds to clear the stage following their presentation. Organizers will provide one HDMI connection and one audio cable to each presenter. Presenters will present from their own devices. Props, staging, cast etc. that require more time to stage will cut into the presenter’s time.

What are the voting rules for the live competition?

Voters are the actual attendees at the Quanties Party. Voters must pre-register to receive a single-use token or voting credential that they can use at the appropriate time. “Voters” need not be physically present at the event if they have registered ahead of time to vote. All individual voters may vote just one time per award category. Voters must supply the following information in order to register to vote: Name, Title, Company, Company Email, Contact Phone Number. DAA Members must login with DAA credentials in order to vote (as determined by email address).

During the “live competition” who are the judges?

All those attending the live event on June 5, 2018 are the judges for the live competition.

How many people will be voting during the “live competition”?

The number of people voting are those in attending at the live event on June 5, 2018 are the judges for the live competition. We expect approximately 150-200 analytics professionals in attendance.

Can I submit more than one entry?

Yes. There is no limit to the number of nominations that may be submitted. Please do note that members of the DAA may submit nominations for free. Non-members of the DAA pay $300 per submission. If you have questions about whether you are a current DAA member, contact us.

What are the entry fees for each entry?

Members of the DAA may submit nominations for free.
Non-members of the DAA pay $300 per submission.

What do I need in order to complete my entry?

Submit the entry online, pay the nomination fee (if applicable), await validation.

How do I submit multiple entries? Can I submit the same entry into more than one Category?

Each nomination requires a unique submission, multiple entries should not be combined into one submission.

If the individual, company, team fits more than one category they may be entered into another category where applicable.

Can I view my submission before finalizing?

It is recommended that for each submission you complete a nomination worksheet. The nomination platform requires that you submit all of the information in one session. You will not be able to save a partially completed form and return later to complete it.

Can I submit a link/URL of a website or microsite?

Yes, where applicable it is encouraged to submit a link/URL to supporting information.

Can I print my Quanties entry?

No. It is recommended that for each submission you complete a nomination worksheet.

Can others view my entry before it is submitted?

Not online. If you complete a nomination worksheet, you may share that prior to submitting the official entry online.

Who won last year’s awards?

View the previous year recipients online.

How do I write a winning Quanties submission?

Be thorough, use examples and ensure your nomination is complete.

When and where will the Quanties be presented?

The Quanties will be presented on June 5, 2018 in Las Vegas at the Keep Memory Alive Event Center.

What do I receive if I win?

All finalists and winners will receive a beautiful plaque, recognition on the DAA website, the DAA Community, and in a press release sent over the wire.

How do I become a DAA member?

Judging Questions & Timelines

When will my entry be judged and recipients announced?

All entries will be judged in Feb-March.

Finalists will be notified when judging is complete (estimated to be mid-April). Recipients will be announced on June 5, 2018 at the live DAA Quanties Gala/Awards party.

Who are the judges?

The judges for the judged awards will be announced on June 5, 2018 at the live DAA Quanties Gala/Awards party. Judges for the live competition awards are the audience members.

When will I know if my entry is among the finalists?

We anticipate notifying nominees in mid-April. Please note that this date is subject to change.

Will I get feedback on my entry?

Due to the number of entries expected, feedback on your entry is not available. Incomplete nominations will be disqualified.

What is a Quantie?

Each finalist will receive a Quantie finalist award. All finalists are encouraged to attend the live event to receive the finalist award, be included in the photographs etc.

Each recipient will receive a Quantie winner award.

When can I expect my award? Where will it be shipped to?

Awards for those in “Judged” categories will receive their awards at the live event on June 5, 2018.

Awards for those in the “Live Competition” will receive their awards after the event, most likely within 4 weeks to allow for engraving and shipping.

All finalists will receive their awards at the live event on June 5, 2018

About the Awards Gala/Awards Party

How much does it cost to attend the Gala/Awards Party?

Members: $99
Non-members: $149

Your ticket price includes admittance to the Gala/Awards Party, heavy appetizers and one drink ticket.

The deadline to purchase tickets is May 31. Tickets must be purchased in advance, walk-ins are not accepted.

 

How do I purchase a ticket to the Quanties?

You may purchase tickets through the DAA website or purchase a ticket when you register to attend the Marketing Evolution World event.

When and where will the Quanties be presented?

The Quanties will be presented on June 5, 2018 in Las Vegas at the Keep Memory Alive Event Center. The event will begin at approximately 7:00pm. Please note this time is subject to change.

The DAA will provide transportation from the Marketing Evolution World event to the Keep Memory Alive Event Center. Details will be provided closer to the event date.

How do I become a sponsor of the Quanties?

Review the sponsorship opportunities and contact Matt Dirks to discuss further details or to become a sponsor.

What do I wear to the event?

Formal wear, business wear, business casual. We encourage you to be yourself and be comfortable. This event draws a mixture of all the above!

Will there be a photographer?

Yes, you will be able to purchase photographs.  Approximately one week after the event, an online link to view and order photos will be made available.

Are there reserved seats at the Quanties?

Yes, for sponsors only. All other seats are open, first come-first serve. We cannot reserve seats for anyone other than sponsors, but rest assured there will be enough room for all attendees to enjoy a wonderful, lively evening!
