Anke Audenaert, Adjunct Assistant Professor of Marketing, UCLA Anderson; CEO, Favrit App
Anke is an experienced digital advertising and analytics executive and entrepreneur. Anke co-founded JumpTime, a digital content optimization company, that was acquired in 2012 by OpenX, a global leader in digital and mobile ad technologies. Anke served as the Vice President of Revenue Intelligence at OpenX and now acts as an advisor to the company.
An Internet industry veteran, Anke previously worked at Yahoo! for 8 years, building and leading its Global Market Research team. Anke also created and led Yahoo!’s Homepage Network Optimization Team, which was responsible for driving over 100 million-plus unique users per month through its media and entertainment network.
Anke is an Adjunct Professor at the Anderson School of Management at UCLA, where she teaches Digital Marketing and Analytics and advises several student teams in their Applied Research and Entrepreneurial projects.
Anke is now focused on a new venture she co-founded, Favrit. Favrit is a local bookmarking platform that allows users to save and share their favorite places and discover new ones. Favrit will develop into a local native advertising platform, changing the way social and medium size businesses capture their consumers’ attention.
Dave Barney, Product Manager, TV Attribution and MMM – Adometry by Google
Dave has been at Google for over 5 years working on attribution products. Dave leads the TV measurement efforts at Google, an area he’s been working at nearly his entire time at Google, and has recently has taken product lead on the Marketing Mix Modeling product as well.
Prior to Google, Dave led his own start-up for 5 years, has worked abroad in both Germany and Switzerland for a combined 4 years, and has been building software for over 15 years. Dave has worked as both a software engineer and product manager, wearing both hats during his start-up years. Dave holds a B.S. degree in computer science and a minor in German from Brigham Young University and an MBA from the Marriott School of Business.
Meta Brown, Analytics Consultant, Speaker, Writer
Meta S. Brown translates analytics into plain English. As a consultant, speaker and writer who promotes the use of business analytics, she has helped organizations across the US, Europe and South America increase profits with the help of statistics, data mining and text mining. A hands-on analyst who has tackled projects with up to $900 million at stake, she is a recognized expert in cutting-edge business analytics.
She has conducted over 4,000 hours of presentations about business analytics, and written guides on neural networks, quality improvement, statistical process control, and many other statistical methods. Her seminars have attracted thousands of attendees from across the United States and Canada, from novices to professors.
Meta S. Brown holds a Master of Science in Nuclear Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Rutgers University, and professional certifications from the American Society for Quality and National Association for Healthcare Quality. She has served on the faculty of Roosevelt University and National-Louis University.
Eric Feinberg, Senior Director of Product Strategy, ForeSee by Answers
Eric works with product, delivery, sales and marketing teams to ensure Answers Cloud Services brings innovation and operational excellence to its offerings. Since joining ForeSee in 2004, he has contributed to the organization’s strategic growth, particularly providing leadership around mobile solutions. Eric is an elected board member of the Digital Analytics Association (DAA) and an adjunct professor of mobile marketing at the University of California, Irvine Extension. Previously, he worked as a web analyst, multichannel strategy consultant, usability specialist and focus group moderator. Eric is a graduate of the University of Michigan.
Hillary Haley, Ph.D., V.P., Director of Research, Analytics & Insights, RPA
As Director of Research, Analytics, and Insights for LA’s largest independent ad agency, Hillary oversees an integrated team of web analysts, social/digital media analysts, market researchers, and data scientists. She and her team work on a diverse portfolio of brands, including Honda, Farmers Insurance, Mandalay Bay, La-Z-Boy, DIRECTV, and the California Tobacco Control Program. In her tenure at RPA, Hillary has led innovative programs in consumer journeying and pathway analysis, financial valuation of marketing opportunities, and media mix/attribution modeling. Common to these initiatives has been a focus on integrating different data sources and methodologies in unique ways. Having earned a Ph.D. from UCLA in Social Psychology, and published as well as taught in that field, Hillary is also known for effectively leveraging academic theory and research in her work.
Grant Hosford, CEO, codeSpark
Grant has been deeply involved with mobile apps, ecommerce and online marketing for over a decade. He was an early champion of web analytics and co-founded a successful web analytics consulting practice at ZAAZ, Inc. He has co-founded two start-ups and has worked for three others. codeSpark is a learning game company backed by Idealab that is teaching kids 5-8 about computer science.
Dr. Michael Rappa, Goodnight Director, Institute for Advanced Analytics & Distinguished University Professor, Advanced Analytics, Department of Computer Science, North Carolina State University
Michael Rappa is Goodnight Director of the Institute for Advanced Analytics and a member of the faculty in the Department of Computer Science at North Carolina State University. As head of the Institute, he leads the nation’s first Master of Science in Analytics as its founder and principal architect. Before joining NC State as Distinguished University Professor in 1998, for nine years he was a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Krista Seiden, Analytics Advocate, Google
Krista is an experienced leader in the digital analytics industry and has led analytics & optimization at companies such as Adobe, The Apollo Group, and most recently at Google. During this time she has become an expert in analytics & optimization methodology, toolsets, and steering organizational mindset.
Currently, Krista is an Analytics Advocate for the Google Analytics team. Previously, Krista worked as a Product Marketing Manager at Google, leading web analytics, reporting, testing, and optimization for the Enterprise Marketing team. In this role she built a culture of testing & optimization within Google’s Enterprise group, along the way building an internal testing platform, gaining resources by showing significant wins, and expanding testing efforts by more than 1500% in just a few quarters. Krista joined Google from the Apollo Group where she worked as a product analyst responsible for mobile and social analytics. Prior to Apollo, Krista worked as a web analytics manager at Adobe Systems for their Acrobat Services Group. While there she also helped lay the foundation for Adobe's social analytics tool.
Krista is active in the digital analytics community, including holding a position as co-chair for the San Francisco chapter of the Digital Analytics Association (DAA) as well as volunteering as a mentor for the Analysis Exchange. Jim Sterne, Founder, eMetrics Summit & Chairman, DAA
Jim is an international consultant focused on measuring the value of the online marketing for creating and strengthening customer relationships since 1993. Jim has written seven books on using the Internet for marketing, produces the eMetrics Summit – www.emetrics.org and is co-founder and current Chairman of the Digital Analytics Association – www.DigitalAnalyticsAssociation.org.
Sean Wilson, Sr. Consultant, Deloitte Digital; CMO.com
Sean is currently a senior consultant in Deloitte Digital’s LA office. He brings over 12 years of digital management, strategy and consulting experience across a number of industries and disciplines.
Prior to Deloitte, he worked to pioneer and grow Adobe’s entrepreneurial content marketing and thought leadership outreach site, CMO.com, for Chief Marketing Officers. The community saw fantastic growth and traction fueled by leading content development and digital marketing. CMO.com has been recognized for a number of awards including named one of the, “20 Most Epic Content Marketing Examples” by Content Marketing Institute.
Over his career, he has advised over 50 B2C and B2B clients on their digital strategy including companies such as Facebook, Disney, Scripps Media, MSNBC and CMO.com. He has had success advising marketers on digital strategy and driving tangible results focusing on influencing customer’s experience across the customer journey leveraging technology. He excels in content marketing, web experience management, email marketing, analytics, dashobards, mobile, video, social media, advertising (search, display, social, SEO, etc.) and innovating across tactics.
Sean holds a BS in Business Management from BYU Marriott School of Management and an MBA with emphasis in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from UCLA Anderson School of Business.
Jake Zim, SVP of Digital Marketing, Sony Pictures
Jake Zim joined Sony Pictures Worldwide Marketing and Distribution as Senior Vice President of Digital Marketing in 2011. In his current role, Zim works with Elias Plishner, executive vice president of Digital Marketing, to lead the team overseeing the strategy and creative direction for the digital campaigns across Sony Pictures’ slate of films.
During his tenure at Sony, Zim has focused on the digital creative supporting over 75 projects, including the upcoming movies Angry Birds, The Walk, starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and directed by Robert Zemeckis, and Chappie, the new film from Neill Blomkamp, as well as No Good Deed, The Monuments Men, Captain Phillips, RoboCop, Skyfall, Men in Black 3,Moneyball, and 21 and 22 Jump Street, among others. Zim and his team have been honored with several awards, including a Webby for Telekinetic Coffee Shop Surprise, the wildly successful Carrievideo that went viral garnering over 50,000,000 views.
Prior to joining Sony Pictures, Zim served four years at Fox – first as Vice President of Online Theatrical Marketing for Fox Atomic, and later as Vice President of Digital Marketing at Twentieth Century Fox.
At Twentieth Century Fox, Zim was charged with overseeing the development and execution of Fox’s online, web and mobile marketing campaigns for domestic theatrical releases. Zim led the digital marketing strategies for such Fox titles as Avatar, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs,Alvin and the Chipmunks: the Squeakquel, Date Night, The A-Team, Predators, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps Unstoppable and The Chronicles of Narnia:The Voyage of the Dawn Treader and Rio.
In addition, he spearheaded the marketing integration of the Angry Birds Rio game app with mobile developer Rovio. Angry Birds Rio launched in March 2011 as the #1 app in the iTunes app store.
At Fox Atomic, Zim developed online theatrical marketing campaigns for 28 Weeks Later,The Comebacks, Turistas and The Hills Have Eyes II, and was recruited to join the Hulu launch team, the News Corporation/ NBC Universal online video venture, as part of the product team, focusing on user-experience and content marketing.
Prior to joining Fox Atomic, Zim was Director of Digital Media Marketing at Lionsgate, overseeing the digital campaigns for such titles as the Academy Award-winning Crash, Saw II, Hostel and Madea's Family Reunion.
Zim received his M.B.A. in Entertainment Marketing and Technology from the University of Southern California, and a B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley.
