Women in Analytics Session Sponsored by Blast Analytics & Marketing The DAA Women in Analytics (WiA) community is open to all DAA members interested in supporting gender equality within the profession, and helping female analysts thrive. The mission of the WiA community is to provide education, advocacy and influence in order to increase understanding and activate resolution of issues facing women in analytics. Jessica Hastings After a brief introduction to the Women in Analytics’s initiatives, our featured speaker, Jessica Hastings from Facebook will share how her experience with managing a high performing analytics team is a lot like training for an Ironman. In this presentation, Jessica will share both of these pursuits complement each other. From setting reasonable goals up front, to making tough decisions about when to reset expectations, and celebrating accomplishments, Jessica will share the lessons she’s learned from endurance training that have helped her at work. |
